Forming and processing The forming and processing of steel grating mainly includes cutting, straightening, welding and other steps. Welding: Welding is a key step in the forming of steel gratings. The welding process includes resistance welding and arc welding. Resistance welding is to place the flat steel and crossbar in the welding mold, apply pressure and power through the electrode, and use the resistance heat generated by the current passing through the weldment for welding. Arc welding uses the high temperature generated by the arc to melt the edge of the welding rod and the weldment to fuse them together. When welding, it is necessary to reasonably adjust the welding parameters according to the material, thickness and welding process of the steel to ensure the welding quality. In recent years, with the widespread application of automation equipment, the welding efficiency and quality of steel gratings have been significantly improved. The introduction of advanced equipment such as fully automatic pressure welding machines and multi-head flame cutting machines has made the production of steel gratings more efficient and accurate. 3. Surface treatment In order to improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of steel gratings, surface treatment is usually required. Common surface treatment methods include hot-dip galvanizing, electroplating, spraying, etc. Hot-dip galvanizing: Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the most common surface treatment methods. By immersing the finished steel grating in high-temperature zinc liquid, the zinc reacts with the surface of the steel to form a dense protective layer, thereby extending its service life. The thickness of the hot-dip galvanizing layer is generally not less than 60μm, and it should be evenly and firmly attached to the surface of the steel grating. Electroplating: Electroplating is the process of plating a layer of metal or alloy on the surface of steel through electrolysis. The electroplating layer can improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the steel grating. However, compared with hot-dip galvanizing, the thickness of the electroplating layer is thinner and the cost is higher. Spraying: Spraying is a surface treatment method in which the paint is evenly applied to the surface of the steel. The spray coating can be customized according to customer needs, such as anti-slip spraying, color coating, etc. However, the durability and corrosion resistance of the spray coating are relatively weak and require regular maintenance. During the surface treatment process, the steel grating needs to be pre-treated by degreasing, cleaning, pickling and rust removal to ensure the quality of the surface treatment.
